Jack in the Pulpit- Arisaema triphyllum

This exotic looking individual is our own North American woodland plant. Often camoflaged into it's surroundings, it stands typically growing from 30 to 65 cm in height with three parted leaves and flowers. It likes moist rich soil in shaded areas. The bloom goes away as does the Trillium at the end of spring and prepares its seeds for late Summer. Do not pick off the bloom after it has finished.
