It can grow 0.5-1 meter tall if you let it grow to flower. The plant is not generally grown for it's small purple flowers because the leaves generally outshow the flower. Usually it is pinched back to encourage bushing. It can be used to fill spaces in gardens and as colour accents in planters, and hanging baskets. If you are going for a very clean architectural look this can be used to your advantage. Coleus also make low-maintenance houseplants.
The plants grow well in moist well-drained soil
