Foxglove- Digitalis purpurea

Foxglove is a great focal point in a garden. It has height up to 6 feet tall and should be planted at the back of your garden. Start staking it at an early period to allow support in case of storms or strong winds. All varieties have darker spotting on the inner surfaces of the individual flowers. Bees like to climb into their tubular flower shapes to gather nectar which looks really funny.
Native to Europe
Full sun to partial shade
Rich well drained soil
Keep moist
After flowering, cut main spikes to encourage more bloom in late Summer.
